Product Highlights

The Snake plant (Dracaena trifasciata, also sold as Sansevieria) is known for its stiff, upright leaves that grow in a tidy cluster. The thick leaves store water, so the plant is happy with infrequent watering and forgives the occasional missed week. It grows well in bright indirect light and also copes with low light, which makes it handy for corners and rooms with limited sun. A free-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage holes are all it needs, and the most common mistake is overwatering, so wait until the soil is fully dry before watering again. It arrives in a 4 inch pot at about 8 inches tall and can be repotted into a larger planter as it grows.
