Product Highlights

The Flapjack (Kalanchoe luciae) is a succulent with thick, fleshy leaves that store water, so it copes well with dry spells and does not need frequent watering. It enjoys bright light, including a few hours of direct morning sun, and the leaf edges often take on a red tint when it gets plenty of light. It grows upright in a tidy, sculptural form that looks good in a plain pot on its own or among other succulents. Plant it in a free-draining succulent or cactus mix, use a pot with drainage holes, and water only when the soil has dried out completely. It arrives in a 4 inch pot at about 8 inches tall, and can be repotted into a larger planter as it grows.
