Bottle Gourd (Lauki) Seeds

Description

Bottle gourd, or lauki, is a favourite in Indian kitchens, and it is easy to grow at home. These seeds produce fast-growing vines that you can train over a fence, trellis or terrace frame, and the 20 gm pack has enough seeds for a small patch.

Key Features

• Bottle gourd (lauki) seeds for sowing
• 20 gm pack
• Vigorous climbing vines
• Suits large pots, grow bags and garden beds
• Needs plenty of sun and a support to climb
• Fresh lauki for curries, soups and sweets

Product Highlights

Bottle gourd grows best in warm weather and full sun. Sow the seeds about two centimetres deep in rich, well-draining soil, and keep the soil moist until they sprout. Give the vines a strong trellis, net or fence, as they grow quickly and the fruits can be heavy. Feed with compost or vermicompost, water regularly, and harvest the gourds while they are young and tender for the best taste.
