Handcrafted Coir Bird House Set of 2 (Tall Tower House + Small Hanging House)

Description

A good bird house should look as natural as the garden it sits in. This set is handmade from coconut coir fibre, so it blends in with trees, plants and wooden decor. The two houses come in different shapes, so you can hang one from a branch and place the other on a ledge or table, and give birds more than one place to rest and shelter. It is a simple way to bring birdsong and a little life to your outdoor space.

Product Highlights

Coir is a natural fibre from coconut husks, known for its strong, rope-like texture. Here it is shaped and braided by hand into two bird houses with a warm, earthy brown colour. The textured roof and the braided ladder and base on the tall house give it a charming, handmade look. The small house has a neat pitched roof and a firm cord, so it is easy to hang from a tree, hook or railing. The natural material is light and breathable and suits outdoor decor with plants and wood. Place the houses in a quiet, shaded spot and birds may use them to rest or shelter. The set also makes a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, birthdays, festivals and Earth Day.

How to Use

• Hang or place the houses in a quiet, shaded and safe spot, such as a tree branch, balcony hook, terrace wall or garden ledge
• Choose a height that is out of reach of cats and other predators
• Keep them away from strong direct sun and heavy rain, where possible
• Keep a bowl of fresh water and some grains or seeds nearby to attract birds
• Be patient: birds can take a few days or weeks to start visiting a new spot
• Clean gently with a dry brush now and then. Do not soak in water
